چکیده
Abstract Micelles and micellization appeal long lasting interest as promising drug carriers. A conventional parameter providing information about formation of micelles is critical micelle concentration (cmc). Its value roughly separates two states the surfactant solution – namely with without presence micelles. If surfactants in water approaches cmc some physical quantities abruptly change, this phenomenon a key to determine cmc. From numerous for determination paper considers conductivity-based method. But rather than studying mechanism that primarily carried out by colloid chemists, focused on development an rich optimal dynamical model conductivity vs. dependence. The derived from solutions 1 st order differential equation. parameters are determined downhill simplex algorithm computed basis curvature dependence conductivity.

Molecular thermodynamic modeling of specific ion effects on micellization of ionic surfactants.
Specific ion effects are ubiquitous in biological and colloidal systems. The addition of electrolytes to ionic surfactant solutions has pronounced effects on micellar properties, such as critical micelle concentration (cmc), micellar size, and shape. Ions play an important role in colloid stability and aggregation behavior of ionic surfactant solutions. Despite extensive experimental data, ther...
متن کاملMicellization Behavior of Long-Chain Substituted Alkylguanidinium Surfactants.
Surface activity and micelle formation of alkylguanidinium chlorides containing 10, 12, 14 and 16 carbon atoms in the hydrophobic tail were studied by combining conductivity and surface tension measurements with isothermal titration calorimetry. The purity of the resulting surfactants, their temperatures of Cr→LC and LC→I transitions, as well as their propensity of forming birefringent phases, ...
متن کاملSurface Micellization Patterns of Quaternary Ammonium Surfactants on Mica
The microscopic equilibrium structures of adsorbed films of quaternary ammonium surfactants on mica have been investigated by noncontact atomic force microscopy imaging as a function of alkyl chain length and headgroup structure. Spherical and cylindrical surface micelles were observed; these were found to be related to bulk solution self-assembly and the surfactant packing parameter, v/a0lc. S...
متن کاملMicellization of Surfactants in Mixed Solvent of Different Polarity
We have studied the micellization of surfactants SDS, CTAB and tweens-80 using a series of Ethylene glycol/water and formamide/water mixed solvents using surface tension, viscosity and conductance measurements. The results are compared with those reported in pure water for the same surfactants. The critical micelle concentration (cmc) shifts to lower values upon increasing the ratio of Ethylene...
